About Barren Ridge Vineyards
Located on the family's former apple orchard, Barren Ridge Vineyards is now home to Augusta County's premier winery. John and Shelby Higgs converted their old apple barn into a state-of-the-art winery, preserving the original structure and wood beams. The tasting room features wonderful wines that are available daily for complimentary tours and tastings.

2007 Soft tannins and a well-integrated character define this wine after 11 months of aging in a combination of new French and neutral oak barrels.

2008 100% Petit Verdot. The combination of a late frost and an unusually dry, hot summer reduced the crop yield and concentrated the flavors of this abundantly rich and deeply complex wine.

2008 This Touriga is a distinctive departure from the classic red vinifera varieties we have become accustomed to. This is a clean, crisp, dry red.
