During whatever public health conditions, we are focused on providing you a safe and relaxing getaway, good for mind, body and spirit.

Our gorgeous mountainside setting borders the Shenandoah National Park and its 300 thousand acres of social distancing out our back door. Perhaps take a scenic hike and then join us for a flight or bottle of wine and a gourmet food platter to de-stress and renew. Or skip the hike and just come straight to DuCard - OK, fine.

Our grounds and tasting room are open seven days a week. We have spacious back lawns and a stream-side deck (wintertime: Solo stoves and blankets - no charge), ample seating in our indoor-outdoor pavilion , and our Shenandoah Room.

We offer seated wine tasting flights of our award-winning small quantity, estate-grown wines, in Riedel crystal glasses, served at your table by our knowledgeable and friendly staff. Our full menu of current releases and selected Library wines is also available.

We are an 'authentic' operation, growing our own grapes with 20 acres of vines on 3 sites, and making all our own wine, on site - 'the real deal.'

We have great live music every Saturday afternoon all year long, plus selected Sundays as well as Friday nights from April through November. Check our calendar also for a wide range of special events - oysters, wine and chocolate pairing sessions, catered Sunday brunches and more.

We've been honored as the Greenest Winery in Virginia on multiple occasions, with solar panels, Tesla and other EV charging stations (free), extensive use of local wood construction including gorgeous tasting room floors and bar made from reclaimed lumber from old barns on our property, near complete elimination of plastic in our customer operations, and a strong focus on local foods to accompany the wines.

We're dog friendly, kid friendly and just friendly friendly.
