About Fox Meadow Winery
Our Motto is: Visit us and look down on the tops of mountains. Situated at an elevation of 1700 ft, our visitors can see as many as seven mountain ranges. At this family-owned and operated winery visitors can enjoy a great sensory experience involving both the beauty of nature, great wine, and also have fun!
From Washington D.C. Take I-66 W to Exit 13; Follow Rt. 55 E for 1 mile; turn left onto Rt. 638; Vineyard is 3 miles on right.
Hours of Operation
Year round. Mon-Fri, 11am-5pm, Sat 11am-6pm & Sundays March-October 11am-6pm November - February 11am-5pm.
Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day.

Fox Meadow Winery Barrel Fermented Chardonnay
This softer style chardonnay has a layer of butteriness with volumes of toasty oak aromas and subtle tropical fruit undertones. This wine is powerfully big, yielding a classical Chardonnay. The lower acidity provides a thicker structure and “mouth feel” for this wine. Fermented using natural yeast and aged 15 months in Hungarian Oak Barrels and sur-lie aged.

Fox Meadow Vineyards Reserve Cabernet Franc
Grapy fresh fruit pleasantly entangled with bing cherry, brambles and fresh toasty nuances from the oak tantalize the nose. These fruits plus white pepper, and a slight char from the oak marry with cashmere soft tannins on the palate. A classic high end Fruit driven Reserve Cab Franc with lots going on! Outstanding!!

Winner of the 2011 Virginia Governor's Cup
Concentrated black cherry, dense stewed fruits and crushed ripe damsons marry unbelievably well in the handcrafted jewel. The soft Bordeaux like structure resembles their European elegance, style and charm. The fruits continue to hold the oak back until right near the finish and then the fresh toasty oak gently reveals itself forward. Enticing, complex and enjoyable.

A Pauillac like knock off! Expansive aromas of boysenberry, ripe blackberry and mulled currants dial in perfectly on the nose. The coveted balanced and seamless palate flavors boast blackberry, dark braised fig while meandering into a finish of overripe crushed pomegranate. For those that like to dig deeper – look for the licorice, mocha and a hint of white pepper. Attractive, complex, firm and impeccably balanced.
