About Hiddencroft Vineyards
Hiddencroft Vineyards is the northern-most winery in Virginia. An easy drive from the winery corridor along Rt. 15 or Rt. 9 in Loudoun County and convenient to Maryland, West Virginia and Pennsylvania wine lovers as well. Situated on 26 secluded acres in Lovettsville, we serve tastings in an 1830's farmhouse we call "Dutchman's Creek Tasting House". During special events we also hold tastings and tours in our winery, surrounded by our butterfly flower garden and orchard. From May through October, we hold special music events in our rustic 1930's barn. You can sample award winning wines, chat with the winemaker/owners, learn about wine production, relax on the sunny deck, snack on light fare or bring your own picnic lunch. The atmosphere is friendly and casual. We prize Virginia's beautiful countryside and strive for it's preservation. We respect the movement to produce and buy food and beverages locally. We encourage tourists to experience the adventure of traveling the many miles of Virginia’s scenic country roads. Our goal is to create quality wines, a friendly and memorable tasting experience, and promote Loudoun County’s image as a leader in Virginia's Wine Country.
Hours of Operation
Open year-round, on Monday and Thursday - Sunday, 12:00 Noon to 6:00pm. In 2012, we will be open late on Saturdays, until 8PM, beginning May 19 and ending October 20.

Barrel fermented and aged nine months in neutral french oak. A distinctive nose of butterscotch when a bottle is uncorked. Fruity and lightly oaked. Excellent with fish such as smoked salmon and blackened sea bass.

Traminette

Traminette
A hybrid grape from the French American hybrid grape “Seval Blanc” and the German grape “Gewurztraminer”. Our 2009 Traminette is blended with 20% Vidal Blanc and is 2.5% residual sugar. It has a floral aroma, citrus notes at the mid-palette, and is spicy on the finish. Enjoy our Traminette with spicy cuisine, such as Thai or Mexican, strong flavored cheeses or lots of garlic.

Crisp and refreshing with a distinctive nose of pink grapefruit. Subtle notes of grapefruit, pear and pineapple are present in the palette. Excellent with grilled chicken or seafood and tropical salsas.

Our 2008 Cab was aged in French oak for 22 months. Full bodied, fruity and spicy. A perfect complement to grilled meats. Our first Gold Medal winner from the 2011 Virginia Governor's Cup.

Chambourcin
Aged in oak for one year and blended with Petit Verdot (90% / 10%). The result is a beautiful inky blue and purple wine with a nose of plums and currents, a fruit forward palate, balanced by a peppery oak finish.

Dutchman's Creek
This wine possesses distinct “Old World” and “Left Bank” characteristics. Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Tannat have been blended for a great balance of fruit, tannin and oak. Balanced and smooth with the essences of dried plums and cherries. The perfect wine to complement your favorite dish of beef, lamb or wild game.

One of our most popular wines. Layers of cherry flavor, courtesy of Montmorency Cherries...the quintessential pie cherry. 4% residual sugar with a tart finish. Excellent with dark chocolate, almond pastries and pork dishes.

The aroma of Molasses and Raisins. Rich, intense and mildly sweet with the tart nip of fresh blackberries and faint essence of licorice.

Vitis Rubus
Chambourcin and Raspberry Wine blend. Semi-sweet with an intense and tart raspberry finish. Excellent with dark and white chocolate.
