About Hiddencroft Vineyards
Hiddencroft Vineyards is the northern-most winery in Virginia. An easy drive from the winery corridor along Rt. 15 or Rt. 9 in Loudoun County and convenient to Maryland, West Virginia and Pennsylvania wine lovers as well. Situated on 16 secluded acres in Lovettsville, our tasting room and production facility are under one roof and surrounded by our flower garden and orchards. You can sample award winning wines, chat with the winemaker/owners, learn about wine production, snack on light fare or bring your own picnic lunch, and relax in a friendly and casual atmosphere. We prize Virginia's beautiful countryside and strive for it's preservation. We respect the movement to buy locally produced food and beverages. We encourage tourists to experience the adventure of traveling the many miles of Virginia’s scenic country roads. Our goal is to create quality wines, a friendly and memorable tasting experience, and promote Loudoun County’s image as a leader in Virginia Wine Country.
Hours of Operation
Year Round, Thursday through Monday, 12:00am to 6:00pm. We have extended hours on Friday & Saturday evenings during the Spring and Summer months. Check our website for specific dates.

Traminette

2008 A hybrid grape from the French American hybrid grape “Johannes Seyve” and the German grape “Gewurztraminer”. Our Traminette is blended with 10% Vidal Blanc and is about 0.7% residual sugar. It has a floral aroma, citrus notes at the mid-palette, and is spicy on the finish. Enjoy our Traminette with spicy cuisine, such as Thai or Mexican, strong flavored cheeses or lots of garlic. When the Traminette grapes are hanging ripe in the vineyard or have been picked and are waiting to be crushed, they smell like roses.

Vidal Blanc

2008 Crisp and refreshing. Posessing a distinctive nose of pink grapefruit. A dry wine at 0.4% residual sugar. Grapefruit with subtle notes of pineapple and peach are present in the palette. Excellent with grilled chicken or seafood and tropical salsas.

Cabernet Franc

Two Cabernets available: Blend of 2005 and 2007 is a smooth, fruity, medium oaked wine that can be enjoyed alone or with your favorite red meat. Vintner's Reserve was aged in a combination of French and American oak barrels for 12 months and blended with Petit Verdot (88%/12%). It is a great balance of fruit, oak, and tannins that results in a medium bodied red wine that will blossom in your cellar for years to come.

Chambourcin

Vinter's Reserve aged in oak for one year and blended with Petit Verdot (80% / 20%). The result is a beautiful inky blue and purple wine with a nose of plums and currents, a fruit forward palate, balanced by a peppery oak finish.

Dutchman's Creek Our biggest red possesses distinct “Old World” and “Left Bank” characteristics. Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Tannat have been blended for a great balance of fruit, tannin and oak. The perfect wine to complement your favorite dish of beef, lamb or wild game.

2009 Sweet Cherry One of our most popular wines and a unique experience. The 2009 has a deeper color, more intense cherry flavor, and is sweet at the front and tart on the finish. Made from Montmorency cherries...the quintessential pie cherry. Enjoy it by itself or with desserts; especially dark chocolate or almond pastries.

2008 Vitis Rubus (Raspberry Chambourcin) Combines the ripe fruit flavors of Chambourcin (90%) with red raspberry wine (10%). Excellent with chocolate.

2009 Grandma's Love Potion 90% Blueberry / 10% Chambourcin. The dictionary defines love potion as “a magic drink supposed to arouse passion for a certain person in the one who drinks it”. While we make no such claim, we are certain you will passionately enjoy this unique wine with pate, game, or pork, and for dessert with ice cream or crème brulee.

Picnic Area
- Screened gazebo seats about 10 people and can be reserved in advance. Picnic tables in orchard. Additional seating under vine covered arbor and on front porch for 15 people.
Tasting room and production facility are under one roof. We can serve about 12 people at one time inside the tasting room. Tasting counter set up outside, under cover, during Spring, Summer and Fall events.
Groups of 9-25 are welcome. Tasting Fee is $9/person and includes souvenir glass. Please give notice by phone or e-mail at least two days in advance.
