About Lazy Days Winery
We are a brand new winery located on US29 (N Amherst Hwy), just south of Route 151. We are located in what once was the Central Virginia Livestock Yard. While red clay may be challenging for roses and tomatoes, grapes love it! Lazy Days Winery is host to the Summer Solstice Wine Festival in June. Bring a picnic, try some wines, wander around our 2 acre barn and rest a while!

This unique grape produces a medium-bodied white wine, which shares notes of quince fruit and floral notes. It is rich in bouquet, and produces a surprisingly sweet finish.

Lazy Day's Viognier is a Virginian Viognier that is delicious. It is rich and has a complex floral aroma, yet finishes crisp without a hit of fruitiness. The taste is smooth and balanced that would be wonderful served with a semi soft cheese and an apple.

Sweet Lazy Days
Is just the way it sounds! Everyone deserves a little Sweet Lazy Day. This delightful mix of Vidal and Chardonnay, has a residual sugar of 2.5%. It is perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. This wine can stand alone or can be paired alongside poached salmon and a raspberry vinaigrette summer salad.

Our Lazy Day's Merlot is smooth with a medium body. The red clay and hot dry weather has drawn out hints of lighter red fruits such as cherries and raspberries. It finishes like a cabernet sauvignon.

Lazy Day's Petit Verdot is bold and full bodied wine. This wine is for red wine lovers. It is intense, with a robust flavor which evokes smoke, spice, minerals and leather. It is best paired with something you can sink your teeth into, a steak, ripened cheeses, or a rich dark chocolate dessert.
