About Little Washington Winery
Tucked into the edge of the Blue Ridge mountains at the entrance to Shenandoah National Park, Little Washington Winery is at Washington, Virginia, the town George Washington laid out in 1749. We handcraft small-batch artisan wines from some of the most coveted vineyards in the state of Virginia. Every visit is a different experience at Little Washington Winery. In addition to our own wines, we feature a Dirt Road tour of the best craft wines from Virginia and beyond. You never know what we're going to open daily. Come enjoy the panoramic views of the Blue Ridge - bring munchies or get them here and relax in the shade of our backyard forest or on our panoramic Blue Ridge deck. Check our website weekly for Dirt Road tastings and events.

Friday-Sunday ... 11am until sunset. Any other time by appointment Thursday ... please call or watch for the Open sign. Monday, Tuesday ... closed (or "shut" as we say here in Rappahannock County)

Mesmerized
Viognier is Virginia's signature grape. Our first 2 acre vineyard planted on the farm is Viognier. Our light, crisp rendition of the wine has a little surprise. On the nose, nice, gentle floral and fruity aromas. On the palate, bright citrus and melon flavors are accented by herbal overtones. Close your eyes for the finish and you'll swear we have just fed you a tangy, juicy green apple straight out of the orchard.

This sassy, vibrant blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Vidal Blanc, Chardonnay and Viognier hits the high notes with an electric and nervy edge. Herbaceous green fruits of pear, pineapple & lemongrass with hints of fig, honey and apricot do, indeed, create an anticipation for Solstice - the day the sun stands still!
