Style one starts with in stainless steal tanks for fermentation and then ages in Hungarian Oak for 1 year. This imparts a lightly oaked finish to the wine creating depth and smoothness not experienced in wine that is aged in tanks. This imparts a robust Oaky finish with great depth and character. 24 Cases of Each Style Normally Produced.

Viognier
Bronze Medal Winner at the Virginia Wine Lovers Competition. The origin of the Viognier grape is unknown but it is believed that the grape was brought to Rhone regions of France by the Romans in 281 AD. Viognier was once a common grape grown all over France. Because of the damage to the vineyards during World War One, it is a rare white grape grown almost exclusively in the northern Rhone regions of France. The Viognier grape is fast becoming the Champagne style grape in Virginia. Fermented in stainless steel and aged in Hungarian Oak for just 30 days, this white wine is fruity and refreshing. 50 Cases Normally Produced.

Cabernet Franc
Gold Medal Winner from Virginia Wine Lovers Competition; Bronze Medal Winner at the Finger Lakes International Wine Competition; Bronze Medal Winner from Eastern Seaboard Wine Competition. Our 100% varietal estate grown Cabernet Franc shares many of the same phnolic and aroma compounds as our Cabernet Sauvignon but with some differences. Our Cabernet Franc is more lightly pigmented and but it produces wines with the same level of intensity and richness. It has more pronounced perfume with notes of raspberries, black currants and violets. It has slightly less tannin than our Cab Sav and it was produced to have a smoother mouthfeel. 200 Cases Normally Produced.

Meritage Blends
Silver Medal winner at the Finger Lakes International Wine Competition. In 1988, a group of American vintners formed the Meritage Alliance to identify and promote handcrafted wines blended from the tradition "noble" Bordeaux grape varieties. In order to use the name "Meritage" on our wine, we had to obtain a license from the Meritage Alliance and agreed to strict blending standards. Miracle Valley Vineyard's Meritage is a blend of three red "noble" Bordeaux varieties- Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot. This estate grown Silver Medal winner is smooth, has a silky texture and is complex with a robust structure. 24 Cases Normally Produced.
Merlot

Merlot
Silver Medal Winner at the Virginia Wine Lovers Competition. The name is thought to derive from the old French word for young blackbird, probably from the color of the large grapes on the vine. Merlot grapes grow well in Virginia because of the climate which lends itself towards long days and hours of sunshine with cool nights. Our merlot has a medium body with hints of berry, plum and currant. Its softness and fleshiness makes our Merlot a popular wine for people that enjoy wines less sterner than Cabernet Sauvignon. Our 100% varietal fermented and aged in Hungarian Oak imparts lightly oaked characteristics. The result is moderate tannins wine. 200 Cases Normally Produced.
