About Spring Creek Wine Cellar

A family-owned and operated farm winery specializing in dry wines. Located in Virginia's heartland, south of Pamplin, in a serene setting of gentle rolling hills. Wines are produced from vinifera and hybrid grapes grown in the three acre vineyard.

March thru December: Sat-Sun, 1pm - 6pm. Groups by appointment. Closed January and February

Wines

White

Chardonnay

Aged in stainless steel producing a crisp, dry wine with a delightful pear and apple taste.

Pinot Gris / Grigio

Dry with a slight pineapple nose, a tart, citrus taste and a long, spicy finish.

Riesling

Off dry, refreshing and fruity. Serve as an aperitif or with poultry or fish.

Seyval Blanc

Crisp with a soft but full finish. Its distinct taste has hints of grapefruit and lemon.

Traminette

Spicy and aromatic with a rose petal nose, and a delicate finish.

Vidal Blanc

A soft, off-dry wine with hints of peaches and melon, a light-body and smooth finish.

Red

Cabernet Franc

A taste of plum with tannins that are soft and gentle. Aged in stainless steel.

Cabernet Sauvignon

Mellow and mild, with black cherry and currant notes and a peppery finish. Aged in stainless steel.

Chambourcin

A medium body wine with a dark cherry flavor and rich earth character. Aged in stainless steel.

Merlot

Smooth and mellow with tastes of plum and cherry. Aged in stainless steel.

Other

Cayuga White
An American hybrid that produces a light, crisp wine with a citrus taste.
Chancellor
A red wine, velvety dark in color with a flavor of currants and plum; smooth and well-balanced. Aged in stainless steel.
Chardonel
A fruity, off-dry white wine that has notes of green apple and pear.
