About The Hague Winery

Located on the Northern Neck at Buena Vista farm, established in 1840 by Colonel Thomas Brown. Tasting room located in historic barn overlooking vineyards, manor home and cottage. Now open. Hours: April-November 11am-5pm; November-March by appointment only Directions: From the North: Rte 3 to Montross. Left on Rte 202 (Cople Hwy) for 8.9 miles. Winery on right. Fine wines in an historic setting.

Wines

Red

Cabernet Franc

2008
A full bodied, balanced Cab Franc derived from an Italian clone (VCR10) that has grown here with good color an body. Aged in neutral oak, the rich flavors pair excellently with beef or lamb dishes.

Merlot

2009
Balanced and fruity, this Merlot has typically soft tannins, modest intensity, wonderful length and classic structure.

Petit Verdot

2009
Robust, very robust. This Bordeaux blender has character, color and mouth feel to rival the biggest of reds.

Red Wine Blend

2008 The Hague Winery Meritage
A classic Bordeaux-style blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and Merlot. Aged in new French oak barrels for a year.

Other

2009 Rose'
Deeper, darker rose' than our previous release. Slight notes of raspberry. A blend of Cabernet Franc and Touriga aged briefly in neutral oak barrels.
Cynthia Dessert
A sweet Muscat dessert wine with hints of peach, orange blossoms and tropical fruits. Aromatic with a clean finish. Pairs well with fruits and cheesesfor a great aperitif or after dinner treat.
Chardonel
A crisp, floral white with bright citrus flavors. Reminiscent of a traditional French Chablis; pairs wonderfully with shelfish and seafood.
