About Three Fox Vineyards
Three Fox Vineyards is a boutique winery nestled on 50 rolling acres in the heart of Northern Virginia horse country.
Proprietors Holli and John Todhunter have combined their passion for life, wine and Italy to bring a little of "La Dolce Vita" to Virginia.
Come sample award winning wines from unique Italian estate varieties such as Sangiovese, Nebbiolo and Pinot Grigio. We are also tasting Chardonnay, Viognier, Vidal, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Chambourcin done as a port alternative.
Bring a picnic and relax in a setting reminiscent of Tuscany. You can sit and enjoy your wine outside on the patios, in the meadow with winemobile service or on one of many other scenic spots on the property.

Pineapple and vanilla notes on the nose with added citrus tones on the palate and good, forward fruit. A crisp, refreshing sipper that is also great with mild cheeses or seafood. “Leggero” (leh-jer-oh) means light, as in “not heavy”.
Pinot Gris / Grigio
Calabrese Pinot Grigio
Our estate grown Pinot Grigio is done in the true Northern Italian style that gives loads of lush flavors. It is light, refreshing and fun with lemon zest and citrus notes and a hint of apricot. Pairs great with white pizza, chicken or seafood Caesar, or roast poultry or pork, or just sip and enjoy.
La Boheme Viognier
Viognier is native to the Rhone Valley but is estate grown at Three Fox. Our La Boheme shows an aromatic nose of citrus, melon & pear . On the palate it has pear, nectarine, and melon notes with a hint of mango. It is wonderful with pates, smoked trout, goat cheese, or well aged Gouda.
White Wine Blend
An off-dry white with a great, sassy attitude, reminiscent of the whites from the Italian Piemonte. Pineapple & citrus nose with a hint of melon and pear on the palate. Great with seafood! Look for the sassy white cat on the label!
Cano Pazzo Rose
A beautifully colored Rose with spice, berry and cherry notes that is perfect for refreshing, cold sipping all by itself. It also works great with poultry, seafood and summer salads.

Alouette Cabernet Franc
Our 100% estate Cabernet Franc is loaded with black cherry, berry, roasted espresso bean and hints of mocha. Can be enjoyed now or laid down for 10 – 15 years with proper cellaring. Excellent with a juicy steak, a fine cigar, dark chocolates or for relaxing, sipping just by itself.
Rosso Dolce Chambourcin
Rosso Dolce (sweet red) is our “port alternative”. Chambourcin is a hybrid originally from the Loire Valley of France (still grown there) and now grown in Virginia . Rosso Dolce, at 6% sugar, has strong, red fruits notes with a subtle chocolate, port-like undercurrent and finish. You can enjoy a port-like experience without the high alcohol level of a true port. Try it with your favorite chocolate dessert for a real treat! Packaged in "Bellisimo" 375 ml bottles just right for a bit of after-dinner fun.
La Trovatella Merlot
Our estate grown Merlot is a delight, loaded with black cherry, blackberry, mocha and toast hints. The mouth-feel is opulent and smooth. A wonderful wine to enjoy now or to lay down for future delights!
The princely grape of the Italian Piemonte, used for Barolo and Barbaresco and estate grown at Three Fox Vineyards on the Virginia Piedmont. Elegant with great structure, black cherry, dark red fruit, and spice notes, good forward fruit and a symphony of flavors in the finish.
Il Volpe Sangiovese
A first class trip in a bottle to Tuscany. The Volpe is 75% Sangiovese, 20% Cab Franc, and 5% Chambourcin. It has a beautiful deep garnet color and drinks like a Brunello. The nose is leather and cassis and the palate is cherry, black cherry, coffee, toast and light chocolate with caramel notes. Pair with meats, pasts, risotto or just sip it.
Signor Sangiovese Reserve
Our estate grown Sangiovese with a yeast and berry nose, a round supple mouth feel with cherry, red fruits, coffee and toast notes on the palate, and a smooth lingering finish with a hint of caramel. Signor" (see-nee-or, "the lord") is meant for enjoyment on its own as well as for complimenting a great meal. Try it with a good Bolognese!
