About Turk Mountain Vineyards
Access to the winery is not practical for public use. With 5 Acres planted in reds (Petit Verdot, Cab. Franc, Merlot Malbec and Tannat) winery does not have a tasting room open to the public. Production is between 100 and 150 cases. Grapes are sold to the neighboring wineries. We produce a single red Bordeaux style blend (La Tour d'Afton 2008, 2009)for sale exclusively at Stinson Vineyards, in Crozet; shipping is available from their winery tasting room.

La Tour d'Afton
La Tour d'Afton is a full body red blend dominated by the Petit Verdot (50%) content with great complexity given by Malbec (25%). 2008 vintage is ready to drink in late 2010 given a chance to breathe a while, it may require 2 more years to reach the sublime level. Only 85 cases for sale: amateurs and collectors should hurry!

2009- La Tour d'Afton: We added a little more complexity to our wine by combining 40% Petit Verdot with 20% Cab. Franc, 20% Merlot and 20% Malbec. Available at Stinson Vineyards early 2012. Compare with 2008 vintage!
