About Vault Field Vineyards
Vault Field Vineyards is located on historic Vault Field Farm near the town of Kinsale, in the heart of Virginia's Northern Neck. Our award winning wines are the result of a marriage between an exceptional terroir and the latest techniques in viticulture. We hope you enjoy the fruits of our labor with family and friends. Our first vintage wines (2006) have produced the following medals: 2008 Atlantic Seaboard Wine Competition - Gold, Silver, Bronze; 2008 State Fair of Virginia - Silver; 2007 Virginia Govenor's Cup - Silver, Bronze, Bronze.

Wines
White
Chardonnay

We call this a California style Chardonnay because of its toasted oak with citrus aroma, followed by a nutty buttery mouth feel. It was partially fermented in stainless steel tanks, then transferred to French oak barrels to finish fermentation, and then aged for nine months. Serve chilled. This wine pairs especially well with avocado and fresh spinach salads with goat cheese, any fish but especially with salmon and scallops, and roasted chicken.
Vidal Blanc

Vidal Blanc - Estate Bottled
This is a fruity, semi-sweet, crisp, slightly more acidic wine with aromas of pineapple, pears and grapefruit. This wine was slowly fermented and then aged in stainless steel tanks which allow it to keep its higher acidity. Serve chilled. This wine pairs well with summer green salads with fresh shrimp, back fin crabmeat, or grilled blackened chicken, added. Excellent with Old Bay seasoned shrimp or crabs.
White Wine Blend

Conundrum
This is a blend of several white wines. Which ones? That is the
conundrum. This wine is less toasty and buttery than the Chardonnay, and is slightly acidic and has fruity aromas. Serve chilled. This wine pairs well with salads, cheeses, pasta salads,
crab cakes, rockfish, oysters, and chicken marsala.

This is a semi-sweet rosé that shows exceptional cherry and berry flavors. This is an excellent sipping wine. Serve chilled or slightly below room temperature. This wine pairs well with ribs, pork, chops, taco salads

2007 Reserve Red - Estate Bottled
Estate Bottled - A blend of our estate grown reds; Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Merlot. It is full bodied, rich and chewy with aromas of cherry, blackberry, currents, plum, leather and tobacco. This wine pairs well with grilled steak, prime rib, venison, lamb, veal and chicken cacciatore.

Estate Bottled - A blend of Merlot and Syrah. It is full bodied with aromas of red currant, raspberry, apricots and cherries - soft and supple with a black pepper finish. Serve slightly below room temp.This wine pairs well with any grilled foods.
