Join our Virtual Wine Tasting series on Friday, June 5th at 4pm on the Valley Road Vineyards' Facebook page when CEO Stan Joynes features the wine that is fast becoming one of Virginia's signature varietals: Cabernet Franc. To demonstrate the versatility of this grape from the same terroir, Stan will conduct a "mini vertical" of VRV's 2017 Cabernet Franc and 2018 Cabernet Franc (at this point, only available to Wine Club members).
Cabernet Franc 2017
Lively and bright, with pleasing acidity and soft, subtle tannins. Aroma of violets, with tart cherry and red currant on the palate, followed by a hint of white pepper. Drink lightly chilled or at room temperature.
Cabernet Franc 2018
Estate grown and aged in French oak for nine months. Well-balanced notes of plum and tart cherry and lightly spiced with soft, subtle tannins on the finish.
