Castle Hill Cider Fest 2019

Plan to join us in the beautiful Virginia countryside for Castle Hill's 8th Annual Cider Fest. We've expanded festival offerings this year, so please be sure to read through all of the exciting details.

Live music by Hard Swimmin’ Fish from 1-4:30 p.m.

Food Trucks! Moe’s BBQ, Firefly on the Fly, Sombrero’s, Good Waffles & Co., Blue Ridge Pizza

Vendors! Victory & Bear Crafts, Magickal Things, Herb Angel, Silver Fern Handmade, sliced. cake bar, Corvus Creations, Creations by Dani, and more to be announced.

Bounce House and lawn games for the kiddos.

Cheese and Cider Tasting
1:30 p.m.
Join Katie Moore, Executive Director of the Western North Carolina Cheese Trail, and Castle Hill's own Cider Maker, Stuart Madany, for this special event. You will taste four artisanal cheeses alongside four Castle Hill ciders during a guided pairing, with both Katie and Stuart offering notes along the way. This event requires pre-registration, and is limited to 30 attendees. $15 per person.

Heritage Cider Panel "VIP Taste and Learn"
3:00 p.m.
Representatives from each of our festival's participating cideries will lend their insight during this panel discussion focused on cider apple varieties, and making heritage cider in Virginia. Taste cider from Albemarle CiderWorks, Big Fish Cider Co., Blue Bee Cider, Castle Hill Cider, Courthouse Creek Cider, and Old Hill Hard Cider, while learning about the science behind the craft of cider making. This event requires pre-registration, and is limited to 30 attendees. $10 per person.

Amateur Cider Share
12:00 - 2:00 p.m.
Do you make cider as a hobby? Interested in connecting with other local makers? Sign up for Cider Share! During this event, you will connect with other amateur cider makers and have the chance to share your cider and taste others. This aspect of Cider Fest is available for makers only, and samples may not be distributed to the public. If you wish to participate, please e-mail mj@castlehillcider.com. Limited space is available and pre-registration is required. Please note: Cider Fest tickets must be purchased in order to participate in Cider Share.

Cider Fest Tickets:
$20 in advance / $25 at the gate.
Ticket price includes a souvenir glass and 8 tasting tickets. (5 tickets = one glass of cider)
