Pick up the pruning shears and head into the vineyard with Vineyard Manager Bill Tonkins to try your hand at the art of pruning vines. You will learn about the care and maintenance of the vines during this time of year, a vital part of bringing the wine you love from the vineyard to your glass. After all, wine is made in the vineyard!
After a short time in the vines, enjoy a hearty luncheon prepared by Chef Andy Shipman, accompanied by a selection of our award-winning wines.
The cost per person is $65.00, including lunch and wine.
The Workshop will take place on Sunday, March 24th, as follows:
- 10:00 am Meet in the Veritas Ballroom for Coffee
- 10:30 am Pruning Overview from Bill Tonkins, the Vineyard Manager.
- 11:30 am Practical pruning demonstration in the Vineyard. Dress to be working outside for 1 hour! You will require pruning shears if you have them and will get some hands-on experience in teams of two. If you do not have pruning shears, we will provide them.
- 12:30 pm Luncheon. Chef Andy Shipman will provide a luncheon (subject to change; please get in touch with wineclub@veritaswines.com with any dietary restrictions). This will be accompanied by our award-winning wines.
- 2:00 pm Disperse to enjoy the winery at your own pleasure.
Please prepare and dress to be outside and standing in the vineyard for 1 hour. All other activities will take place indoors with seating.
