Help us make a cider!
In commemoration of our 8th harvest year, we're collecting apples of ALL KINDS from the good urban farmers of our RVA community through October 4. You will be compensated $1 in store credit per pound. No apples are too sour or too small for us. As long as they are ripe, we are buying! Seriously! (Just don't bring rotten fruit. That is already fermented and we can't work with that.)
Starting at noon on October 5, join Team Blue Bee Cider as we roll out the apple grinder and presses. All are welcome to help press the apples into juice that will be fermented into a cider, release date TBA. We can't wait to see how this Made-In-RVA cider turns out!
Truckle Cheesemongers will provide a sneak peek at their new on-site location with an array of Virginia cheeses, and
Perch RVA will serve up Filipino Pork BBQ skewers and vegan crab cakes.
Our "New Arrivals" station will feature multiple unreleased products, including our first mead (honey wine), a Spitzenburg apple single-varietal, and Hewe's Crab aged in a
Catoctin Creek gin barrel.
