Located in Louisa County, midway between Richmond and Charlottesville, Virginia, our winery was licensed as the 53rd farm winery in July of 1999. Nestled amongst rolling hills in a traditional farming community, our goal is to create quality Virginia wines that express the uniqueness of the terroir and grape varietal.
Currently we are tending two vineyards, the 53rd Vineyard located in Louisa County Virginia and the Simmons Gap Vineyard located in Free Union Virginia. Currently the 53rd site has 20 acres under vine including: Albarino, Chardonel, Viognier, Vidal Blanc, Chambourcin, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, and Norton. The Simmons Gap site has approximately 10 acres under vine including: Chardonnay, Viognier, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot.
