Chambourcin has a distinctive dark coloring and is compared to Beaujolais and Sicilian wines for their fruit forward and crisp acidity. Medium bodied, the wine is spicy, with notes of sour cherries and raspberries. Suggested food pairing are hearty soups, heavy Italian dishes like lasagne, stews, game meats, rack of lamb and surprisingly cheeseburgers!
