The 2015 Cabernet Franc has all the niceties of a good Virginia Cabernet Franc. The color is ruby with garnet accents and is slightly lighter than in previous years, yet the aroma is pleasantly fresh with floral red fruits that lead into bright tastes of raspberry and cherry with a black-pepper finish. The wine is ultimately quaffable – a perfect accompaniment to lighter red meat, particularly lamb, veal, and chicken – even salmon.
