AmRhein's 2019 Melange

Vintage Notes

Our 2019 Melange is a full bodied dry red blend from some our finest grapes coming from our Botetourt and Franklin County vineyards.

Viticulture and Vineyard Site

The Merlot is grown in Botetourt County and the Petite Verdot and the Cabernet Franc come from our Franklin County Vineyard.

Wine Making

It consists of 40% Merlot, 32% Petite Verdot, and 28% Cabernet Franc. The wines were all produced as single varietals, aged for 18 months in neutral French Oak barrels, and blended prior to bottling.

Tasting Notes and Food Pairings

This Melange is best served at cellar or room temperature. The fruit forward style delivers rich dark fruits highlighted by subtle notes of coffee and dark chocolate with just a hint of spice. Sip and savor and this wine will keep delivering on long lingering finish.
