Virginia Viognier, which is the official Virginia state grape and is rapidly gaining international recognition for high quality. Breaux Vineyards’ Viognier in particular has earned multiple Decanter awards and the #87 spot in Oz Clarke’s Best Wines of 2012.

This intensely flavored and elegantly refined wine is supported with a well-integrated acidity that empowers the substantial body weight across the palate. Nutty aromas intertwine with white flowers, melons and fresh bananas on the nose.

Tasting Notes:
Color: Straw, with hints of green
Aromas: Orange blossom, pineapple, melon, honey and butter cream
Taste: Round and approachable with subtle toastiness and anise spice.
Food Pairing: Pairs best with bold dishes with exotic flavors, such as Moroccan, Indian, or Caribbean cuisine. Also pairs well with shellfish, cashews, and cheese (French brie, fresh chèvre, and aged Gouda are great).
