Mariposa

Chrysalis Vineyards Mariposa (Spanish for butterfly) is our refreshing blend of red varieties turned into a delicious rosé. The wine is produced with the red grapes receiving four hours of skin contact in the press. Through this time honored old-world process, we maintain the fruitiness of the juice and obtain a beautiful rosado color without developing the tannins of a red wine.

The nose of our Mariposa is very fruity with the fragrance of ripe red fruit bursting through. This is a true, dry rosé that is layered with concentrated flavors of raspberries, strawberries, and cherries, with a defined acidity that makes it a great food wine, as well as a refreshing quaffer on a hot day.
