The varietal composition of the Something White changes each year, giving Doug creative license to select the best available fruit from the year’s harvest. For 2016, it is a blend of Vidal Blanc and Viognier. The nose is bright with aromas of crisp Bartlett pears, juicy honeydew melon, ripe bananas, and all around tropical fruit sweetness. The palate mimics the nose with more pears, soft honeydew melon, and refreshing pineapple.
