Merrie Mill Farm & Vineyard 2021 Merlot

This first release of the Merrie Mill Merlot has been a smashing success. This Merlot was showing off even before we started putting red blends together. It has surprised everyone and especially our non Merlot drinking crowd has been shocked by how much they are enjoying this fantastic wine. The Merlot is definitely benefitting from a gorgeous 2022 vintage and ripened at laser speed which kept all of the freshness of the Merlot grape by allowing us to get it in early in the harvest season. Because of the strength and intensity of this wine even from the beginning it was put into quite a stunning barrel program of over 50% new oak. This wine is built to age and will continue to develop over the next 10 years.
