Petit Verdot

Our Governor's Cup Case award-winning single varietal 2017 Petit Verdot is a beautiful example of all that this grape represents. It offers aromas of cherry, vanilla, toast and milk chocolate. On the palate, there is an intriguing flavor combination of brooding dark fruits such as red plum and pomegranate, blended with notes of cigar ash and chocolate. Its finish is dry and tannic with notes of graphite. Aging in a blend of American and French oak barrels gives this wine the complexity to pair well with rich meat dishes, spicy foods and a variety of hard and semi-soft cheeses.
