Lineage

Keeping with tradition, this year’s Lineage is 100% barrel fermented and aged Chardonel, done in mostly neutral oak.

This year we experimented with four different yeast fermentations in barrels, resulting in layers of complexity. One yeast highlighted the minerality, others brought more bright fruit aromas like those found in Chardonnay, and one really helped amplify the creamy structure of the wine.

A truly special release, the 2024 vintage of Lineage is our latest take on our signature white wine. Still crafted from 100% Chardonel grapes, this wine was produced in French puncheons (double-sized barrels). We allowed it to age gracefully on the lees for an impressive 16 months—more than double the time of our previous vintages of Lineage, which aged for only 7 months. This extended aging creates remarkable complexity and a rich, full-bodied profile.
