Music & Munchies: Rusty Speidel & Michael Clem and Chef Troy

Event Date

Sunday, October 4, 2020
12:00pm - 6:00pm

Rusty Speidel’s is a musician, producer, arranger, and a founding member of SGGL (Speidel, Michael Goggin, Tom Goodrich, and Michael Lille), a popular local band that was born out of a UVA dorm room in the ’80s. Since then, the group has toured the East Coast and Rusty has played alongside names such as Ellis Paul, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Martin Sexton, Sugarland, and Sarah White. Today, Michael will perform with another local, household favorite: Michael Clem in the duo's musical debut at 12 Ridges Vineyard.

Since 1991, Michael Clem has been playing bass, singing, and writing songs for the national touring act he co-founded, Eddie from Ohio. Over that time, EFO has amassed a sizeable grassroots following, released nine CDs & collected numerous Washington Area Music Association Awards. Since 2008, with the band slowing down, Clem has relocated from Northern Virginia to Charlottesville where he’s established quite a foothold in its musical scene, from session work to bluegrass gigs to forming his own acoustic trio.
Sit back, relax (grab a glass) and enjoy this duo at work!

We are also pleased to welcome back Chef Troy Sheller. A grand-child of a traditional Sicilian family, Chef Troy grew up in the kitchen. Today, he specializes in the American Gastro style and brings with him a passion for avant-garde and authentic cooking that brings people together.
