Cabernet Franc

Our ‘primeur’ is a fruit-driven wine with notes of redcurrant and bramble fruit. The wine has been aged in oak for a short time, which gives it a well-balanced mouthfeel with the light oak character complementing the intense fruit characters nicely. Cabernet Franc 2023 will show a fruit-forward style 1-3 years after the vintage, but will show more complexity and character with 4-10 years of bottle aging, letting the Virginia “terroir” balance with the fruit core. This is a beautifully structured classic vintage Cabernet Franc.
