Our Blossom Festival runs from 1pm until 5pm.
We are excited to invite you to join us on April 27th for our Annual Blossom Festival!
We are fully embracing the spring feeling with events and family fun cobbled with plants and pets!
Welcoming back our favorite market vendors, local artisans, and craftsmen demonstrating their skills. Enjoy our variety of our award-winning sparkling ciders & find out what’s new among the range. Embrace the many activities on the lawn with games and sheep cuddling or dance the afternoon away with live music from our local band “Her Checkered Past”.

Pet Fashion Parade:
Enter your beloved pet into our pet parade this year. Entries must be made by 1.45pm the day of the festival. The first place winner receives gift certificates from Vintage Virginia Apples and Albemarle CiderWorks & “Fetch! Pet Care”. You will have to put your best foot (paw) forward to impress our panel of judges, so strut your stuff down our cat walk.
Details for Pet fashion Parade:
Costumes must be in good taste and appropriate for your dog.
If you have two pets whose costumes are a part of one obvious theme, you may register the pair together.
If their costumes are unrelated, each pet must be registered separately.
Also acceptable: you and your pet (or human family members and their pets) may all be in costume as one entry if costumes are part of one overall theme.
Registration opens at 1pm. After registering you and collect your entry number, you and your pet will be directed to the waiting area.
Here you will present your pet to the judges. The judges will take notes and ask any questions they may have related to the costume. This shouldn’t take any longer than a few minutes.
You are then free to take your dog along to the Photo Station or sit and enjoy the live music.
Contest participants need to report to the stage for 3pm to announce winners of pet parade the Parade. This gives the event audience the opportunity to enjoy all the costumes.
- Enter your pet into our Fashion Parade on our website or on the day.
- All participants must register in the events tent by 1.45pm on the day of the festival.
- The registration fee is $10.
- Once entered into the contest, all proceeds will go into supporting the SPCA.
- Each entry will need to provide their name, pets name, phone number and email.
- Winners will be announced at 3pm at the music stage, where winners & prizes will be awarded.

13:00 – Plant & seed swap – you can swap your seeds, vegetables, indoor/outdoor plants & flowers.

13:45 – Final call to enter The Pet Fashion Parade
