Prince Michel Vineyard and Winery was initially founded in 1982 by Parisians Jean and Sylvian Leducq, who had a vision that was formed out of the love of Virginia and its relationship to the vine. Prince Michel was later acquired by Kristin Easter and has grown to become one of the largest, most widely distributed, and recognized wineries in Virginia. Today, that founding vision continues to shape the winery’s identity and guest experience, expanding in 2019 with the addition of Tap 29 Brewery to complement the estate’s wine offerings.
Located approximately 30 miles north of Charlottesville, Prince Michel Vineyard and Winery & Tap 29 Brewery is open seven days a week. The property features a tasting room showcasing internationally recognized wines, alongside the brewery, which offers craft beer, cider, and casual pub-style dining. Guests can explore an eclectic gift shop, enjoy seasonal wine slushies, and attend live music events, creating a welcoming destination with diverse experiences for a wide range of visitors.
